Our Mission
The mission of the Club shall be to collaborate with other community organizations to:
-
Stimulate the love for, and knowledge of, gardening;
-
Promote the protection of natural resources, including plants and wildlife, and foster respect for the ecology of our environment; and
-
Beautify the roadsides and other public places in Brewster.
What We Do
Our club is proud of its long tradition of community service. Our many contributions to Brewster and its residents include:

Planting and maintaining nine gardens throughout Brewster, including those at the Gristmill and Drummer Boy Park
-
Educating the public and coordinating member activities for the Pollinator Pathways of Cape Cod initiative
-
Making and hanging over 60 swags and wreaths to decorate historic Main Street and town buildings for the holidays
-
Giving an annual Beautification Award to a high visibility business or residence
-
In collaboration with the Brewster Conservation Trust, awarding an annual Scholarship to a Brewster student
-
Awarding a ‘Toolship’ to a Brewster student entering a horticulturally related trade
-
Awarding Educational Grants to Brewster's elementary school teachers for gardening and nature-related projects

Standing Committees
Committees are the life blood of our organization. Joining a committee is a good way to better understand our organization and make new friends in the process. Members are asked to participate in at least one committee each year. Sign-up is in April and May. Click on Committees (below) for details of what each committee does.

BylawsChair - Karen Pryce Ensuring that Club operations adhere to its by-laws; proposing amendments as necessary

CivicCo-Chairs - Sue Arnsten, Barbara Barber, Gretchen Robinson and Corinne Trabulsie Planting and maintaining Brewster’s public gardens, making and hanging holiday wreaths and swags along historic Main Street and on town buildings, decorating holiday tree in The Brewster Ladies Library.

ConservationChair - Dirkie Van Antwerp and Shirley Hayes Informing members of local and state environmental issues, participation in Brewster’s Conservation Day event. Oversight and coordination of member activities for the Pollinator Pathways of Cape Cod program.
